Open Nigeria for Development (OND)
African countries are blessed with abundant natural and human resources that can foster their development if adequately utilized. Open Nigeria for Development is an initiative that encourages citizens’ participation in governance, thereby enhancing bottom-up development initiatives. The project is targeted at state and local governments whom we believe are the closest to the people. We are currently advocating for the implementation of Open Government Partnership (OGP) programs at sub-national level in the Southwest region of Nigeria to pilot OND.
Next Business Competition (NBC)
We breed job creators instead of job seekers by collaborating with the Business Club at Hagerstown Community College to launch Next Business Competition. We link the young entrepreneurs with mentors, funders, investors, and marketers. Our proposed annual Next Business Competition is a great event where potential investors, funders, and entrepreneurs will meet with thriving business ideas from the students.
Diaspora Corner (DC)
As first- or second-generation migrants, or even a diaspora whose lost count of generation, we face many challenges day in day out. Over the course of our work, we understand that such challenges are common with many diasporas, thus, the design of this platform provides a support network for sharing and finding succor in other people’s experiences. The diaspora physical, psychological, and emotional wellbeing is very important to us because sound minds build sound societies.
