The Gifted Project is an idea born out of a passion to support Nigerians who have developed ideas, products, and technologies with its origin in Nigeria. Over time, it has been discovered that less than 5% of ideas, technologies, and products that are born in Nigeria make it to the market because of low access to resources and structures to make such products and technologies acceptable and marketable to a level of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The Gifted Project has identified this challenge among our MSMEs circle across the country and create a niche to bridge this gap that will better strengthen the survival of the ideas, products, and technologies.
In collaboration with stakeholders in MSMEs, the Gifted Project will identify and harvest talented individuals in 36 states including FCT to participate in the quarterly selection and competition process. The participants will pitch their innovative ideas at the talent hunt competition where economically viable and technologically feasible projects will be selected for emergent individuals and groups to receive awards and support to scale up their brands to a certified and marketable level.
The vision is to build, promote, and sustain indigenous MSME brands through collaborations with private and public partners with the following objectives:
• Support 1,200 local entrepreneurs annually
• Support and promote locally produced technologies in Nigeria
• Facilitate diaspora investment in MSMEs across Nigeria
• Reduce unemployment through commercialization of viable projects
• Link entrepreneurs up with local and international funding opportunities available.
• Provide post-Covid-19 relief to Nigerians via job creation
